Private sessions are 1:1 with focus on individual needs and goals and also integrate MAT® (Muscle Activation Techniques) work. Unlike a regular Movement & Pilates class, Jacquelyn's session is not a one size fits all approach, and is often used in conjunction with physical therapy as a means for treating a variety of injuries. Jacquelyn focuses on the retraining and recruitment of these stabilizing muscles, as well as improving posture, strength, balance, and flexibility. She helps in identifying key issues by applying appropriately selected exercises, movement modifications, and corrective exercise for clients and making modifications for their impairments. By retraining the body and mind we can create a more efficient way of moving and exercising pain free. Movement is Medicine!

MAT® (Muscle Activation Techniques) Session

50mins | $125 Plus Tax
MAT® (Muscle Activation Techniques) Practitioners assess an individual client’s neuromuscular function by preforming a series of mobility tests and then correlating the limitations in range of motion with muscle tests that can identify which specific muscles are not contracting efficiently. Once a muscle weakness is identified, MAT® (Muscle Activation Techniques) Practitioners are trained to precisely “Activate” each muscle weakness through either isometric contractions or specific force application to the origin and insertion points of the affected muscle.
